New Multitudes celebrate Woody Guthrie with centennial tribute

Chris Moore’s “The Fire Note” music blog gave me the opportunity to review theĀ  “New Multitudes” CD, a collection of unreleased Woody Guthrie songs from the library archives. Jay Farrar (Son Volt, Uncle Tupelo) spent several years researching Guthrie’s poems, lyrics and sketches to create this tribute that both pays respect to Guthrie and brings the songs into the 21st century.
