That’s right, the 2009 Dayton Music Festival kicks off on Saturday October 3rd across Downtown Dayton, featuring over two dozen bands at seven venues for $10!
The Nick Kizirnis Band will be appearing at Gilly’s at 11:30pm, followed by headliners The Buffalo Killers from Cinci, Ohio!

The Nick Kizirnis’ Band set will include songs from The Mulchmen’s Greetings! from Planet Stupider and Louder Than Dirt, Thicker Than Mud, Cage’s Magnificent Propaganda Opportunity, Kizirnis’ Into the Loud, Eyesinweasel’s Wrinkled Thoughts, and several new songs!

So … What’s a Festiki? Well, it’s your ideal “summer staycation alternative,” coming to Dayton’s scenic Carillon Park on Saturday, August 15th.
Your island escape experience includes full day of live entertainment including traditional Hawaiian music and dancing (grass skirts optional), Caribbean steel drums, and three smokin’ hot surf bands!
Chill with a cold concoction and check out the vintage hot rod show while the kids build a sand castle. Get totally tubed on the Surf Ohio surfboard simulator or watch a tiki totem being hand-carved just for you. Feast on Polynesian cuisine by tiki-torchlight, and toast another day in paradise from your beach blanket as the sun sets on another endless summer.
A portion of Surf Ohio Festiki proceeds will benefit the Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s oceans, waves and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education.

I don’t have a lot of information about this summer festival in Dayton, OH’s Carillon Park on August 15th, but will provide the details as soon as I can get them. The Nick Kizirnis Band will be appearing. There’s a festival web site up that will also have all the important details … sometime soon!
Sunday May 15th Canal Street Tavern presents “Songwriters-in-the-Round” featuring: CALEB TRIMBACH, KATTIE DAUGHERTY, STEVE JOHNSON, NICK KIZIRNIS, DENI WILSON, ROB YOUNG, JESSE REMNANT, THAD BRITTAIN, JOHN DUBUC and BILL KURZENBERGER!
